The Witnesses is a Christian evangelism app for outreach, prayer, testimony, community encouragement, church discovery, and Gospel conversations. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

- Account information: name, email address, profile details, authentication identifiers, and app settings.
- Outreach activity: outreach sessions, conversation logs, prayer logs, follow-up reminders, testimony posts, streaks, and mission progress.

- Location information: approximate or precise location if you grant permission, used for map features, nearby activity, churches, and evangelism sessions.
- User content: testimonies, prayer requests, comments, names or notes you choose to enter, and other content you submit.
- Device and usage data: device type, operating system, app version, diagnostics, crash reports, performance logs, and feature usage.
- Support communications: messages you send to us, including email address and information needed to respond.
2. Sensitive Content and Consent
The app is religious in nature. Content you create may reveal religious beliefs, prayer needs, ministry activity, location, or personal stories. Do not post or store sensitive information about another person unless you have permission and it is appropriate, safe, and lawful to do so.
3. How We Use Information
- Provide core app features, including outreach logging, maps, community posts, church discovery, and follow-up reminders.
- Personalize encouragement, streaks, missions, and activity history.
- Moderate community content and enforce safety policies.

4. Location Data
Location features are optional and require device permission. If enabled, location may be used to show nearby evangelism activity, churches, outreach sessions, and map context. You can disable location access in your device settings. Some map features may not work without location access.
5. Sharing of Information
We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers that help operate the app, such as hosting, authentication, analytics, crash reporting, maps, email, database, and moderation providers. We may also share information if required by law, to protect safety, or to enforce our Terms.
6. Public and Community Content
Testimonies, posts, church listings, prayer requests, outreach updates, profile details, or other content you choose to share may be visible to other users depending on app settings. Use wisdom and avoid posting private information about yourself or others.
7. Data Retention
We retain information while your account is active or as needed to provide the app, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain security, and enforce policies. Some backup copies may remain for a limited time after deletion.
8. Your Choices
- You can update or delete certain profile and activity information in the app where available.
- You can disable location, notifications, camera, or photo access through device settings.

- You can request access, correction, or deletion of personal information, subject to legal and security limits.
9. Children
The Witnesses is not intended for children under 13. If we learn that we collected personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate consent, we will take steps to delete it. Parents or guardians may contact us for deletion requests.
10. Safety and Emergency Limits
The app is not an emergency service, counseling service, law enforcement tool, or substitute for pastoral, medical, legal, or crisis support. If there is immediate danger, contact local emergency services.
11. International Use
Information may be processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. By using the app, you understand that privacy laws may differ from those in your location.

We may update this Privacy Policy as the app changes. If changes are material, we will update the date above and may provide notice in the app or by other reasonable means.
